We are Polish sisters Sammy and Bella, lovers of all F words, especially family, food, friends, and of course lots of fun! We have always been inspired by generations of women who pass on their traditions of love and sharing through food. We’re not only drawn to our own heritage but the heritage of all the wonderful cultures in Australia and exploring them through food. Never in our wildest dreams did we think our humble beginnings would lead us to such an amazing career in food.
Having grown up in the kitchen, we always thought that the food we ate, and our love for food was pretty much normal. Mum would make fresh stock almost every day, dad would go hunting for wild hare and deer, and our grandmother, a highly regarded chef in Poland, would throw the most extravagant feasts for special occasions. We soon came to realize that our family’s love of food was anything but normal and that this love was shared by so many Australians.
In 2011, after working in fashion and marketing for many years, we applied for My Kitchen Rules Season 2. This was a huge milestone for us to discover our true passion in life, cooking delicious food for people we love! We quickly built a reputation as the real girls next door and everyone’s best friend in the kitchen. After winning the series we finally had the confidence to take our passion and create a career out of it.
Since then we have successfully opened a boutique catering businesses Bella’s Feast and Sammy’s Feast, providing food from the heart to the likes of Peugeot, Jacobs Creek, Sony, Smooth FM, and KIA Motors. We also opened up Sammy’s Burger Bar and recently launched our own sauce brand, Saucy Sister.
We also have the honour of being the resident foodies on Channel 7’s The Morning Show, hosting a weekly cooking segment since 2012. We’re also the Home Cooking Experts for LifeStyle Food Channel, and presenting our own show, Food For Life on 4ME (channel 74).
Rediscovering our family traditions and heritage through food is our life passion and despite our busy schedules we still remember that at the core we are ambassadors for home cooking, for family, friends and of course for fun!
